Former Man Utd Hero Declares £59.7M Buy To Be One Of World’s Best

Former Manchester United defender Gabriel Heinze has declared that Argentina international Angel Di Maria is one of the best players in the world, after his £59.7 million move to the Old Trafford club, as reported by the Daily Star.

Di Maria was a late buy in the summer transfer window, with the Red Devils shattering the British transfer record outlay by paying almost £60 million for the player.

He has lived up to the price tag so far, scoring three goals and providing several assists for his new club, and his goal against Everton at the weekend turned out to be key as they won by a single strike.

With that in mind, Heinze, who is also from Argentina, has praised his compatriot heavily.

The 36 year old ex-Man Utd player also thinks that Di Maria, who he played with for the national side, will get even better as time goes on.

Heinze told the press: “Anything I say about Angel Di Maria is not enough. For me, he’s one of the four best players in the world.

“He’s already reached an amazing level and arrived at an amazing club where they will look after him and he’ll perform really well for them.

“I think everyone needs time to adapt, especially in the English league.

“You need to adapt but the club can help you and Manchester United will make things easier for you.”

Man Utd Record Breaker Heaps Praise On Shot Stopping Star

Manchester United’s record breaking signing Angel Di Maria has heaped praise on his teammate David De Gea after yesterday’s stunning performance in the club’s 2-1 win against Everton at Old Trafford, as reported by the Daily Express.

The Argentina international moved to the Premier League shortly before the close of the summer transfer window.

His transfer fee of £59.7 million was a record outlay for British club, with the former Real Madrid man considered to be in prime form in the season before his transfer.

Despite a great display against Everton in Sunday’s game, Di Maria was insistent that it was De Gea who deserved the man of the match award.

Di Maria said: “I think David is the guy the who deserves this reward rather than myself.

“He saved us throughout the game and particularly towards the end and the penalty as well so not only him but the rest of the side deserve this.”

Man Utd have won their last two ties in the league, with the win against Everton following a similar 2-1 victory against West Ham.

Both games have, however, been characterised by staunch defending in the later stages of the game to ensure the result.

Revealed: Boss Did Not Approve £59.7M Man Utd Mega Buy

Real Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti has been left significantly unhappy, having seen his club’s senior figures sell Angel Di Maria to Manchester United without his approval, as reported by the Daily Express.

The midfield maestro moved to the Old Trafford club towards the end of the transfer window for a record breaking fee of £59.7 million, and has done exceptionally well in his first four games for his new side, scoring twice and setting up a further two goals for his teammates.

Di Maria did not initially have any interest in leaving Real, with the Argentina international having performed exceptionally as Los Blancos won the tenth European Cup in their history, but summer signings Toni Kroos and James Rodriguez threatened his position in the first team.

However, there have been suggestions that Ancelotti was never particularly keen to sell Di Maria, as confirmed by Luis Fernandez, who previously managed PSG, the other side who expressed significant interest in him this summer.

He said: “Ancelotti was not happy at all that [Di Maria] left Madrid and even less so when another his key players [Xabi Alonso] left as well.”
