£59.7m Star Already Thinking About Shock Man Utd Departure

Manchester United’s £59.7 million summer acquisition Angel Di Maria is already thinking about leaving the Old Trafford club, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Argentinian midfielder, who had a sensational season for Real last year, was chased by both Man Utd and Paris Saint Germain in the summer, and it was ultimately the English side that won the battle for his signature.

PSG had even put together a huge £50 million bid for the player, but the Red Devils beat them with their staggering offer, which smashed the record for a British transfer fee.

However, Di Maria has admitted in a television interview that the door is not closed on a switch to the Parc des Princes.

He even confirmed that he could yet move on, which will come as a hammer blow to fans of Man Utd, who have seen him make a huge impact since his arrival in the Premier League.

He said: “Now I’m in the English league. But you never know, there is a lot of movements in football. You can never predict where you’re going to play.

“There were a lot of clubs interested in me. A lot really. But Manchester United appeared and didn’t go away. They absolutely wanted me and it happened.”

“It could have been a good experience for me to go to Paris.

“I know I’m still young, perhaps I’ll go to PSG one day. I don’t know how it will all end.”

Man Utd Legend Describes £59.7M Record Breaker As Exciting

Manchester United legend Ryan Giggs, who is currently the club’s assistant manager, has described Angel Di Maria as an exciting player, as reported by the Daily Star.

The acquisition of Di Maria towards the end of the transfer window broke the record outlay for a British side, with Man Utd paying Real Madrid £59.7 million to sign him.

The Argentinian maestro has settled in exceptionally since moving to the Old Trafford side, justifying his huge price tag.

Since moving, the 26 year old has scored three goals and provided several assists for his team mates.

Two of his goals were key, with the strikes against West Ham and Everton both contributing heavily to important home wins.

Giggs, who knows a bit about exceptional midfield play, has said that he loves working with and watching Di Maria play.

He said: “You don’t need to do a lot with him.

“He’s that sort of player, he’s a free spirit. He will take you from box to box really quickly and he will create and score goals.

“He gets bums off seats and he excites me. He’s the kind of player you love to watch.”

Di Maria was only part of an extended effort to improve the squad this summer, with the club spending £150 million on players.

Man Utd Wonderkid Praises £91M Duo’s Training Ground Displays

Manchester United starlet Andreas Pereira has pointed to the club’s summer signings Angel Di Maria and Ander Herrera as two of the better performers in training, as reported by the Daily Express.

Di Maria moved to Man Utd from Real Madrid, with the Red Devils breaking the record outlay for a British club by paying £59.7 million for the player.

Herrera did not come cheap either, with the Old Trafford club having to match his release clause to push through a transfer.

They paid £32 million to Athletic Bilbao for his signature.

Both have impressed since the new Premier League season kicked off, with the duo posting a combined total of five goals and four assists.

Di Maria has been adjudged as the best of the lot, winning both the Player and Goal of the Month awards at Man Utd.

Pereira, who has been involved with the first team, has said the two have impressed considerably in training.

He said: “Everyone’s been really good but the best in training, for me, is Angel Di Maria. He’s very good in training as well as in matches.

“I also admire Ander Herrera for the way he plays in my position but also the way he speaks to the other players.

“I can think back, a couple of weeks ago, to when Di Maria scored an unbelievable goal.

“We did some finishing after training with the forwards and he scored a brilliant strike.

“He controlled it and bounced the ball into the top corner. It was incredible.”
