Arsenal’s dominating display in the Community Shield clash against Manchester City yesterday has got the Gunners faithful excited for the coming season, with many now believing that the north London club can now make a concerted tilt at the Premier League title, with the hope being that they can win it for the first time since 2004.
Wenger’s Arsenal side have been consistent challengers for the last 10 years, but they have never truly threatened to win it. Their recent lack of spending power as a result of the Emirates Stadium build has hindered them somewhat in recruitment, but this no longer seems to be an issue.
