Another PL Side Enter Race For Arsenal Forward – reports

Hull City have entered the fray to sign Arsenal striker Yaya Sanogo this month, according to the Daily Telegraph.

Arsene Wenger is reportedly keen to see Sanogo move to a Premier League side during the winter window, despite French side Bordeaux being the club most keen on bringing him in.

In part, it must be assumed that this is so Wenger can guarantee his young striker gets the required Premier League experience, aiding in his transition to the English game, something that he has struggled with since joining the Gunners on a free transfer.

Aside from Hull, another Premier League team thought to be interested in signing Sanogo are Alan Pardew’s new club, Crystal Palace.

The Eagles are lacking firepower, and Sanogo would undoubtedly get plenty of action there.

With a trio of reasonable options on the table for Sanogo, it will be interesting to see which club he chooses to spend the rest of the season with.

Another Arsenal Striker Set To Leave Club

Arsenal forward Yaya Sanogo is set to leave the Emirates Stadium on loan, joining French side Bordeaux until the end of the season, as reported by the Daily Star.

Arsene Wenger has sanctioned the deal, because he wants Sanogo to play more first team football before returning to north London ahead of next season.

Sanogo has found his opportunities limited since moving to the Gunners, and this season there are more players ahead of him in the pecking order.

Olivier Giroud was his only competition last season, and he therefore played quite a bit of football, despite not scoring with any regularity.

However, this year, the addition of Alexis Sanchez and Danny Welbeck means that there are potentially three players keeping him out of the first team.

The Bordeaux president Jean-Louis Triaud confirmed on the radio that the deal is set to go through in the very near future.

He told Soir de Foot radio: “We are working on the arrival of Sanogo. He wants to come to us, it’s a certainty.

“The goal is to have him for Monaco [on Sunday].

“We asked for Arsenal keep us informed. They had given me as a response date of Tuesday or Wednesday. I explained that I prefer Tuesday.”

21-Year-Old Arsenal Starlet Could Depart In January – reports

Arsenal could lose striker Yaya Sanogo on loan in January, with a series of Premier League sides sniffing around his signature.

The French ace has failed to find a place in the first team for the Gunners since the start of the season, and with both Danny Welbeck and Olivier Giroud ahead of him in the pecking order, that situation is unlikely to change any time soon.

As a result, Sanogo is set to move out on loan for the rest of the season in order to gain some valuable first team experience.

The likes of Aston Villa, Sunderland and Crystal Palace have all been linked with a move for the 21 year old in January.

However, they might have to compete with other sides across Europe if they want to sign him, with others likely to be put on alert by his availability, according to the Daily Star.

Sanogo has scored only one competitive goal for Arsenal since joining them last season, against Borussia Dortmund.

Our verdict

There is something there with Sanogo but he needs first team experience. Joining a Premier League side would be a better option than sending him back to Europe for another six months.
