Man Utd Agree Terms For £43.5M Mega Transfer Deal – reports

Manchester United have reportedly agreed personal terms with Colombian international striker Radamel Falcao, paving way for the forward to make his loan switch to the Old Trafford club permanent in the near future, as reported by the Daily Express.

The Manchester side signed the former Atletico Madrid hit man in a surprise deadline day deal, with the player joining the club on a season long loan.

However, there was a clause written into his deal which allowed the club to make the move permanent for £43.5 million.

Reports are now suggesting that the player and the club have agreed terms over a £250,000 a week salary, meaning that they just need to pay the set fee for the player to become a permanent acquisition.

This move is therefore set to be confirmed, with Man Utd to pay AS Monaco the huge sum to secure the deal.

Falcao has not yet scored in his three games for Man Utd.

Legendary Man Utd Hitman Extols Virtues Of New Sensation

Manchester United legend Andy Cole has praised Radamel Falcao heavily, saying that he is part of a dying breed and that he will prove a hit in the future, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The former striker, who was renowned for his goalscoring prowess in the past under Alex Ferguson, has also stated that he believes Falcao will shine.

Cole was an old school number nine, and Falcao matches him heavily in playing style. It is therefore significant for Falcao to hear a former great in his role expect so much of him.

While Falcao has played twice for Man Utd since joining the club, he has failed to score, although he is still working his way back to full fitness after a long spell on the sidelines.

He will get another chance to do so at the weekend, when West Ham visit Old Trafford, although it will be no walk in the park for the Manchester club.

Their form since the season started has been poor, and they need to improve considerably if they want to achieve their goal of Champions League football.

Cole has backed Falcao to inspire them to that, saying: “For me personally, when I look at him, I see an old-fashioned centre-forward. He wants to get into the box and score goals. He is very brave.

“You don’t see a lot of that any more in the game. It’s why he went to Monaco in the first place for £50million. He gives you a hell of a lot of goals.

“The old-fashioned no.9 is a dying breed. There are not many out-and-out goalscorers who want to run into the box to score goals.

“When you do have someone like Falcao, if he does score goals, he will be treasured here. It’s a case of gradually easing him into it as he’s been out for a long time and going from there.”

Confirmed Man Utd XI vs. QPR: £346k Sensation Misses Out

Manchester United have confirmed their starting line up for their game against Queens Park Rangers at Old Trafford, with the game being broadcast live on Sky Sports at 4pm today.

The Old Trafford club are looking for their first win of the new season, having failed to turn early optimism into results under Louis van Gaal.

Opening day saw them fall to a 2-1 loss against Swansea City, who were undefeated in the league until they faced Chelsea yesterday.

They then faced Sunderland, who they drew with away from home. Their last Premier League match was a goalless draw against Burnley, when record breaking signing Angel Di Maria made his debut for the side after his transfer from Real Madrid.

Man Utd have also faced a significant humbling in the League Cup, when their inexperienced line up lost 4-0 to League Two side MK Dons, with Arsenal loanee Benik Afobe scoring a brace.

Van Gaal’s selection is as follows:
