Man Utd Will Delay £44m Move For Hitman – reports

Manchester United are not willing to commit to a deal for Colombian international striker Radamel Falcao until the player has better proven his fitness, as reported by the Daily Star.

Falcao’s arrival from Monaco on loan was widely heralded as an exceptional addition by the Old Trafford side, but he has struggled to make an impact since his move on deadline day.

The former Atletico Madrid man has been hampered by injuries, with recurring problems stopping him from playing regular first team football.

This is a worry for Man Utd, who brought Falcao in knowing that he had suffered a significant knee injury last season, and with little evidence that he had fully recovered from that.

While Man Utd have already agreed a future fee of £44 million for the player, they will judge Falcao over the next two months before deciding whether to commit to a permanent deal for the expensive but talented striker.

Man Utd Star Calls Dynamic Front Trio The Best In The World

Manchester United new boy Ander Herrera has declared that the club’s front three of Wayne Rooney, Robin van Persie and Radamel Falcao are the best in the world, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

He has even gone as far as to say that to play behind the trio is nothing less than an honour.

Herrera is currently out injured with a fractured rib, putting him on the sidelines shortly after his big money move from Athletic Bilbao in the summer.

He said: “I want to try to score more goals. It’s very important for the midfielders.

“I like assists as well and I think we have maybe the best three strikers in the world here in Rooney, Van Persie and Falcao.

“Juan [Mata], Angel [Di Maria], Adnan [Januzaj], Daley [Blind], Fletch [Darren Fletcher] and me are all going to help them try to score, and if I score of course I’ll be very happy.

“The Premier League is a great league. It’s a very quick league, non-stop and great spectacle for the fans.

“That’s good because sometimes in other countries there are more teams that try to keep the ball in their end of the pitch but in the Premier League you will see a lot of goals.”

Man Utd began the new season in poor form, and fell to defeats against newly promoted Leicester and League One side MK Dons.

The loss against MK Dons was particularly humbling, with the minnows winning that game 4-0 against a weakened Man Utd side.

A series of signings seems to have arrested their poor form, however, with a pair of 2-1 wins prior to the international break against West Ham and Everton aiding their climb up the table.

28-Year-Old Declares Desire For Long-Term Switch To Man Utd

Radamel Falcao has declared his desire to stay at Manchester United on a permanent basis, having scored his first goal for the Old Trafford club against Everton at the weekend, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Colombian international made a deadline day switch to Man Utd, although it was only on loan.

He has finally made the impact that was expected of him, scoring the important winner against the Toffees yesterday.

It has already been confirmed that Falcao will spend the rest of season on loan with the Premier League giants, but Man Utd can make transfer permanent with a £43 million move, as agreed in the loan switch.

However, Falcao confirmed after his goal yesterday that he already wants to confirm a long term future with the Manchester side.

He said: “Me and my family are very happy here and we want to stay for many years at Manchester United.

“I’ve had a great welcome. When you’re surrounded by quality players it makes settling in more easy.

“This is a big challenge for my career. I always dreamed about being at Manchester United.”

There were suggestions at the weekend that the club and Falcao have already agreed terms to make the move permanent at the culmination of the season.
