Arsenal In Talks For £15m Ace And Slovakian Midfield Maestro – reports

Arsenal are considering a double January move for Italy based duo Mattia Destro and Marek Hamsik in January, if they can offload enough of their unwanted stars to fund the move.

Striking duo Joel Campbell and Lukas Podolski have been regularly linked with moves away from the Emirates Stadium in January.

Interest in the pair has increased, and as a result, the Gunners could use the duo’s transfer fees to bring in the highly talented Serie A pair, according to the Metro.

The north London club have apparently already opened talks with Roma for Destro ahead of a possible move.

However, capturing Hamsik from Napoli will likely prove far more difficult.

To their benefit, however, Hamsik has been dropped by Napoli boss Rafael Benitez, and this could make negotiations far easier.

Arsenal do have to push through moves for both Podolski and Campbell to fund the transfers, with most of their budget set to be spent on defensive recruits.

Liverpool Plan Swoop To Beat Man Utd To Midfield Sensation – reports

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is apparently looking to take advantage of Napoli’s indifferent start to the new Serie A season by making a January move for midfield maestro Marek Hamsik, as reported by the Daily Express.

The former Reds manager Rafael Benitez has found himself under increasing pressure after a poor start to the new campaign has seen Napoli grab only seven points from five games.

The Italian side have also crashed out of the Champions League, losing in the play off stages, meaning that their top stars might be tempted into moves in order to play at the highest level of the European game.

It is for this reason that Liverpool are now tempted into making a move for the highly talented star, although he has recently admitted that he is not particularly keen on a move currently.

Manchester United have also previously been interested in the Slovakian international.

He did, however, refuse to rule out a possible move away in the future.

He said: “It is possible that I can stay at Napoli for my entire career, I am happy here but in football you never know.

“As long as I am happy and I feel important I will stay here because I have no reason to change.

“Each day I hear from the fans talk of the Scudetto – we have to try at all costs, but no-one will know if we can succeed – we have to wait.”

Liverpool Ready To Make Transfer Assault After Star Refuses To Rule Out Move

Liverpool are ready to make their interest in Marek Hamsik more firm after the Napoli midfield star refused to rule out a move away from the Serie A side in January, as reported by The Metro.

There is a suggestion that the Anfield club are ready to push for him after Hamsik made a cryptic statement over his future, and Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers is known to be a big fan of the maestro, suggesting the club will work hard to sign him.

They have been heavily linked with a move for him in the past, and it will be interesting to see whether they can finally get their man in the coming window.

Hamsik said: “I am happy here but in football you never know”.

There has always been considerable hype around Hamsik, who has long been considered to be potentially one of the top midfielders in the world, and with Steven Gerrard nearing the end of his top level career, Liverpool may need to make improvements in that role in the near future.

Napoli are also thought to be interested in Liverpool misfit Lucas Leiva.
