£25m Star Set To Reject Arsenal Move Over Trophy Fears

Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus is supposedly set to reject a possible move to Arsenal in the near future over fears that the Gunners do not have the capacity to win him the trophies that he desires, as reported by the Daily Star.

The German international is stalling over signing a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.

This means that the release clause written into his contract is set to activate in the summer, which means that another side could get him for a vastly reduced fee, well below his true value, thought to be around £25 million.

Arsenal are one of the sides who have taken an interest in the German star, and the 25 year old was reportedly interested in working with his international teammates, like Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski.

However, he is now set to snub a move to north London, with the fear that if he joins the Gunners he will not win enough trophies.

A source said: “Reus wants to win titles and he is worried this would not happen at Arsenal.”

Arsenal And Man Utd Dealt Huge Blow In Chase For £20m Star – reports

Arsenal and Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow in their chase for Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus, after Real Madrid reportedly declared their interest in signing the German international, as reported by the Daily Star.

While Dortmund managed their first win for an extended period of time at the weekend, Reus’ future at the club is still unsure.

Several reports have linked him with a handful of the top European sides over the last few months, including Premier League giants Arsenal and Man Utd.

Reus has the pedigree for a huge move in the near future, having scored 23 goals in 43 games for Dortmund last season.

Sources in Germany, however, suggest that while the Premier League duo are said to be prepping bids of around £20 million, Real have now entered the race for the player.

Carlo Ancelotti is said to be particularly keen on the German international, and will hope to make a move for him in January.

This could make it more difficult for the English sides to sign him.

Arsenal Blow In Chase For £19.8M Star As He Prefers Spain Move – reports

Arsenal have been dealt a blow in their chase for Borussia Dortmund winger Marco Reus, with the player apparently keen on a switch to Spain, as reported by the Daily Star.

Speculation over the German international’s future has been intense in recent weeks, after it was revealed that the forward has a clause in his contract that allows him to leave for only £19.8 million next summer.

Reports suggest that Arsenal are one of many clubs interested in signing the 25 year old, with the likes of Manchester United and Liverpool also thought to be keen on capturing him at the end of the season.

They have been dealt a blow in this chase, however, with sources in Spain suggesting that Reus is keen on a switch to the Iberian peninsula.

In fact, Reus is reportedly very keen on a switch to Spanish giants Real Madrid, and will turn down a move elsewhere.
