£25m Star Set To Reject Arsenal Move Over Trophy Fears

Borussia Dortmund forward Marco Reus is supposedly set to reject a possible move to Arsenal in the near future over fears that the Gunners do not have the capacity to win him the trophies that he desires, as reported by the Daily Star.

The German international is stalling over signing a new contract with Borussia Dortmund.

This means that the release clause written into his contract is set to activate in the summer, which means that another side could get him for a vastly reduced fee, well below his true value, thought to be around £25 million.

Arsenal are one of the sides who have taken an interest in the German star, and the 25 year old was reportedly interested in working with his international teammates, like Per Mertesacker, Mesut Ozil and Lukas Podolski.

However, he is now set to snub a move to north London, with the fear that if he joins the Gunners he will not win enough trophies.

A source said: “Reus wants to win titles and he is worried this would not happen at Arsenal.”
