Man Utd And Liverpool Blow In Chase For £19.8M Mega Star – reports

Bayern Munich are set to discuss the transfer of Borussia Dortmund star Marco Reus in the next few weeks, as reported by the Daily Star.

This comes straight from the mouth of Bayern CEO Karl-Heinz Rummenigge, who has said that his side are closely monitoring Reus’ availability, given that his contract situation is considered to be to the benefit of other teams targeting him.

A move from Bayern would come of something as a blow to the series of Premier League sides tracking Reus, given the historical precedent.

The likes of Robert Lewandowksi and Mario Gotze have all been heavily tracked by Premier League sides before beating the well trodden path between Dortmund and the Allianz Arena side.

This could put Liverpool and Man Utd on tenterhooks about the possibility of signing Reus, with Bayern clearly interested and Reus likely to be keen on making a move to the German giants.

Reus reportedly has a contract clause that would allow another club to sign him next summer for only £19.8 million, well below his true value.

Rummenigge was clear about Bayern’s interest, saying: “To be honest, we’ll discuss the matter internally and calmly.

“Then we will come to a decision.

“At the end of the day, the player has to decide too. His release clause is well known. There’s nothing more to say.”

Route Clear For Man Utd To Sign World Class Star – reports

Borussia Dortmund have approached Paris Saint Germain about signing midfield misfit Javier Pastore, leaving the route clear for Manchester United to sign their world class winger Marco Reus, as reported by the Daily Express.

Italian outlets are suggesting that Jurgen Klopp, Dortmund’s manager, is very keen on the Argentina international, and is hoping to sign him in the coming winter transfer window.

Despite interest from Spanish giants Real Madrid, it is believed that Pastore is most interested in a move to the Bundesliga side.

If Pastore were to come into Signal Iduna Park, it would cast doubts upon Reus’ future with the German title challengers.

While Reus is an integral part of Klopp’s side, the club are aware that they could lose him for as little as £20 million next summer, when a release clause become active in his contract.

With this in mind, BVB are keen to secure £30 million for his signature in January, and Man Utd, who have repeatedly been linked with a move, are ideally placed to bag the currently injured forward.

Man Utd And Arsenal On Red Alert After £20M Star’s Contract Talk Struggle

Manchester United and Arsenal have been put on red alert after it was revealed that Marco Reus’s contract talks with Borussia Dortmund have stalled, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

A new challenger has also entered the fray, with Manchester City said to be monitoring the situation.

The club have admired the German international wing wizard for several seasons, but never made a move to bring him to the Etihad Stadium.

Both former manager Roberto Mancini and current boss Manuel Pellegrini are known to be admirers of the player.

Dortmund have been absolutely unwilling to sell one of their key players, but Reus’s situation has changed.

The player has told Dortmund chiefs that he wishes to wait until the end of the season to negotiate a new contract with the club, which is a big issue for the German side.

A release clause in his contract, allowing him to move for £20 million, activates next summer, which puts the club in an uncomfortable situation.

Reus could therefore move for far less than his actual value.
