Arsenal Sound Out Interest From 19-Year-Old Wonderkid Midfielder – reports

Arsenal have made another step in their chase for French wonderkid midfielder Adrien Rabiot, as they have contacted the representatives of the 19 year old star in an attempt to thrash out a deal for the player in the January transfer window, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

Rabiot has been consistently linked with a move to Arsenal since it emerged that he was unwilling to commit to fresh terms with Paris Saint Germain, where he has spent his entire professional career.

Additional signings at the French giants have closed off his route to the first team, and it seems as though he is keen to leave in order to play more often.

With the player out of contract next summer, PSG are interested in selling him in January, assuming they cannot get him to sign a new contract before then.

Arsenal could wait until his contract expires, but with Roma, AC Milan and Juventus sniffing around the player, they are keen to snap him up soon, and have contacted his agents with the intention of doing so.

French Giants Seek To Stop Arsenal And Chelsea Moves For Wonderkid – reports

Paris Saint Germain have made a last minute attempt to stop their talented midfield maestro Adrien Rabiot from moving away from the club, potentially to either Arsenal or Chelsea, by including him in the first team setup, despite the player’s contract expiring at the end of the season, as reported by the Daily Express.

Rabiot’s contract dispute has seen him left out of first team football this year, with the club unwilling to give him an opportunity when they know that he could leave the club for nothing at the end of the season.

The French giants would, however, rather receive a fee for the player, no matter how small, during the January window, and Arsenal and Chelsea are both expected to compete for him when the time rolls around.

However, they will still face competition from the likes of Roma and Juventus, both of whom have exploited the free transfer market exceptionally in recent season.

Manager Laurent Blanc is now attempting to mend fences, however, and will give the player opportunities in the first team in an attempt to keep him.

Despite this, there is little chance Rabiot will sign a new contract, but could still play in an attempt to impress visiting scouts.

Manager Confirms Stunning Arsenal Target Set For January Switch

Arsenal’s hopes of landing Adrien Rabiot, who plays for Paris Saint Germain, have been given a huge boost with the news that his current manager Laurent Blanc believes a sale in January is looking increasingly likely, as reported by the Daily Express.

Rabiot’s contract expires at the end of the season, and the player has been linked to a whole host of Premier League sides. Arsenal are one of them, and the midfielder would slot in perfectly to a side lacking quality in depth in that position.

There was a belief that Arsenal could miss out on the 19 year old, with AS Roma hoping to sign him at the end of the season on a free transfer.

Blanc has, however, said that it goes against PSG’s principles to allow a player to depart for nothing at the end of his deal, and they might instead look for a sale in January, putting Arsenal in an ideal position to secure his signature.

Blanc said: “If we sell Rabiot, it will be in January.

“But there will have to be an agreement with Paris Saint-Germain. Our code of conduct preludes a free transfer.”
