Chelsea And Man Utd On Alert After Wonderkid Put Up For Sale – reports

Paris Saint Germain’s midfield sensation Adrien Rabiot must be sold in January, with the French club fearful of losing their young star on a free transfer at the end of the season when his contract expires, as reported by the Daily Express.

This news will probably put Manchester United and Chelsea on alert, who could sign a player with considerable potential for well less than his market value with a January move for the player.

With his contract set to expire in the summer of 2015, PSG are not keen to let their a young star leave for free. With Rabiot rejecting an extension, they have to sell the player in January if they wish to make any money back on him.

Both Chelsea and Man Utd will face competition from Italian side Roma, however, who could probably offer the youngster first team football more immediately. Given that the player does not seem fascinated by money, that will play a huge factor.

His mother, Veronique Rabiot, who is also his agent, said: “We do not make decisions based on financial criteria.

“They are important, of course, but the priority is the sports project.”

£2.5m A Year Or No Deal: Prodigy Tells Arsenal And Chelsea His Demands – reports

Paris Saint Germain’s young midfielder Adrien Rabiot has revealed to Arsenal and Chelsea that he wants a salary of £2.5 million a year in order to move to the Premier League, as reported by the Daily Express.

Rabiot’s contract with the French champions is set to expire at the end of the season, and he could see himself sold for cheap in January after rejecting a new contract with the Parisian club. Alternatively, it is expected that he will move on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Despite significant interest this summer in the wonderkid, PSG refused to let him depart and join either Premier League side, but there is now a belief that he is set to leave, no matter what.

Reports in France suggest that the 19 year old is expecting a salary of at least £2.5 million annually to move.

Both Juventus and Roma are also keen, but they are not planning to move before the end of the season, when they could sign him for nothing.

This would allow either Arsenal or Chelsea to snap him up on the cheap without much in the way of competition in January.

Rabiot himself is also thought to prefer a switch to England.

Move Back On: 19-Year-Old Starlet Could Yet Join Chelsea Or Arsenal

Adrien Rabiot’s supposed move to Roma has been dismissed by the Italian club, leaving the door open to a move to either Chelsea or Arsenal, who are both interested in his signature, as reported by the Daily Express.

The young PSG midfielder was supposedly set to be used in a deal to take Kevin Strootman to the French giants, with Roma apparently willing to part with their dynamic midfielder for a player plus cash deal.

Both Chelsea and Arsenal have expressed an interest in Rabiot in the past, with both trying to sign him this summer, but PSG did not allow him to leave the Parc de Princes.

Roma seemed to have his signature secured after a deal was reportedly agreed between the French and Italian side, but comments from coach Rudi Garcia suggest that those pieces of news were well wide of the mark.

Despite this, it is clear that Roma do possess an interest in Rabiot, and both Premier League sides will face competition to bring him in.

Garcia said: “He’s a big player and he’s a player in whom we are interested.

“Our club follows all players who have big potential.

“He’s a PSG player and I have nothing else to say about him.

“He has no secret agreement with us.”
