Agent – Spurs Keen On £15.7m Ace

Fenerbahce forward Emmanuel Emenike’s agent has hinted that Tottenham Hotspur are keen on signing his client in the near future, as reported by the London Evening Standard.

A clause in Emenike’s contract means that he can leave the Turkish giants at any point for a fee of £15.7 million, which would surely appeal to Spurs.

The north London club, aside from the in-form Harry Kane, do not have any strikers available to them who have been performing on a consistent basis.

The White Hart Lane club are even thought to be willing to offers for both Emmanuel Adebayor and Roberto Soldado, potentially weakening their stable of strikers even further this month.

With Mauricio Pochettino’s side pushing for a Champions League place after the festive period, investing in a player now could reap great benefits in the future.

Emenike’s agent has now suggested that the north London club are keen on signing him.

Konyar said: “Tottenham have really only one striker right now so it is not a surprise that they are interested. I personally have not entered talks with Tottenham yet. However, if Fenerbahce give permission we can enter negotiations.

Arsenal To Fight Spurs For £25m Maestro In Summer – reports

Arsenal are set to battle their fierce rivals Tottenham Hotspur for the signature of Southampton midfielder Morgan Schneiderlin in the summer, as reported by the Daily Star.

Both the Gunners and Spurs were thought to be keen on signing him last summer, but Southampton were adamant that their star midfielder would not be allowed to leave the club.

They even kept hold of the French international despite Schneiderlin threatening to go on strike from the club.

They have benefitted from that decision, with Schneiderlin playing an integral role as they have charged to the Champions League places in the early part of the season.

However, the north London duo are still thought to be keen on a move, possibly worth £25 million.

Nothing is likely to happen in January.

The south coast club are not willing to see Schneiderlin depart during the winter window, with Champions League football on the cards, and the player himself recently admitted that the situation surrounding a move was delicate.

Spurs Back In For 28-Year-Old Elegant Defender In January – reports

Tottenham Hotspur are set to make a move for Sporting Lisbon right back Miguel Lopes in January, as reported by the Daily Express.

The defender was a target for the club when Andres Villas Boas first took charge of the north London side, after Lopes returned from a loan spell at Lyon.

According to Portuguese newspaper A Bola, Lopes is being considered as a possible addition this month by the White Hart Lane club.

When Spurs were originally linked with a move for him, Lopes suffered a series of injuries and the move fell apart.

However, a spell on loan at Lyon last season proved his fitness, and he returned to Sporting this season.

Despite that, Lopes has made only three appearances for the Portuguese giants this campaign.

Spurs are said to have sent scouts to watch him play during the festive period, and are now interested in completing a deal for him to improve their options on the right side of defence.

He would provide competition to current first choice Kyle Walker.
