Spurs Bid For Arsenal Targeted Wonderkid Could Be Rejected

Tottenham Hotspur’s intended bid for Paris Saint Germain wonderkid Adrien Rabiot could be blocked by the French side’s manager Laurent Blanc, according to the Daily Mirror.

Arsenal were thought to be keen on signing Rabiot prior to the French youngster agreeing to a new contract with PSG ahead of the January transfer window.

As a result, he is not set to depart PSG on a permanent basis any time soon, but could have been loaned out during the winter window.

Spurs were one of the sides thought to be keen on capturing the talented young midfielder on a temporary basis, as they look to add more incisiveness to the middle of the park.

However, Blanc denied this possibility.

“I’m not ready to let him go,” said the PSG boss.

“I’ve already said that he was a lad I want to keep hold of.”

Mauricio Pochettino has led Spurs to a charge up the table in recent weeks, and good form sees them sat in fifth place, just behind Southampton.

As a result, they now have hopes of challenging for the Champions League places in the second half of the season.

Spurs Insist £25m Key Player Is Not For Sale

Tottenahm Hotspur have insisted to the press that Hugo Lloris is not for sale, no matter the price, according to the Daily Star.

The Spurs goalkeeper has reportedly been targeted by giants Real Madrid and Paris Saint Germain as part of a possible big money switch.

However, the north London side have no interest in seeing the French international stopper depart White Hart Lane in the near future.

Lloris has been valued at around £25 million by those clubs that are interested in signing him.

A Tottenham spokesman said: “There is no substance to the story, it is mischief making.

“We have talented players so we have to expect this sort of thing.”

The 28 year old has been consistently one of Tottenham’s best players since joining them in 2012, and is one of few stars to impress on a consistent basis since the start of the season.

However, Mauricio Pochettino’s side have been on an excellent run recently, and are now up to fifth in the Premier League.

They are challenging for the Champions League places, and are just two points behind Pochettino’s former side Southampton.

Spurs And Arsenal Targeted £27m Midfield Maestro To Stay At Club

Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal target Morgan Schneiderlin has admitted that he is likely to stay at Southampton during the January transfer window, despite having pushed for a move away from the south coast in the summer.

In an attempt to force through a transfer to one of the Premier League’s bigger sides, he looked to go on strike, but was convinced by Ronald Koeman and the club’s hierarchy to stay and begin the campaign.

He played a key role as the Saints managed a draw in the FA Cup on Sunday against Ipswich Town, scoring.

Schneiderlin has also been integral to a campaign which has seen Southampton climb up the table, offering a genuine challenge to the Champions League places.

As a result, he is not sure about whether a move will go through before the window closes.

When asked about a move by French TV show Telefoot, he said: “That I don’t know. January is always a delicate month to leave in.

“I will finish my season with Southampton and then see what happens in the future.

“I don’t get worried about these things anymore.

“If this summer I have learned something, you can never think: I am gone, gone for good.”

Arsenal and Spurs have both been linked with the star in the past, and are thought to still be keen on a player who has been valued at around £27 million.
