Man Utd Given Huge Boost In Chase For £80m Ace – reports

Manchester United have been handed a huge boost in their pursuit of Real Madrid star Gareth Bale.

The Old Trafford club are known to be interested in putting together  a move for the former Tottenham Hotspur star.

Louis van Gaal’s side are thought to have put £80 million aside to sign him when the opportunity arises.

Now they have received the biggest indication that he would be up for a return to the Premier League, according to the Sunday Express.

The Welsh winger is said to have revealed that he is open to a move back to England when the season reaches its conclusion, with his family also keen on a return.

Man Utd actually offered Spurs more than the amount Real Madrid paid for Bale, but the deal with the Spanish club was too far down the line to be stopped.

With Bale interested in a switch, Van Gaal and the club’s hierarchy are primed to pounce.

Our verdict

Man Utd are clearly keen on Bale, and if the player wants a move, it makes sense for both parties. Bale scored in the Club World Cup final earlier this week, showing his inherent talent.

£33m+ Star Wants Man Utd Deal – reports

Manchester United star David De Gea is reportedly set to remain with the Old Trafford club in the January transfer window, and is set to seal a new deal with the Manchester side as a result.

De Gea has been exceptional since the start of the season, the loss away to MK Dons aside, and Man Utd fans were understandably fearful that he might move on, especially as his current contract has only 18 months left to run.

The likes of Real Madrid and Bayern Munich are thought to be floating around with an eye on the Spanish stopper, and Real, in particular, were thought to be willing to make a big offer.

They are said to be so keen on the 24 year old that they would look to break Gianluigi Buffon’s 2001 record transfer fee for a goalkeeper, which saw him move to Juventus from Parma for £33 million.

De Gea himself holds the record for a British club, having cost Man Utd £18.9 million.

He could now be set to stay with a new deal, as reported by the Manchester Evening News.

Man Utd Target Set For January Switch – reports

Manchester United have been dealt a huge blow in their chase for Enzo Perez, with the player set to complete a huge deal.

Louis van Gaal had identified Perez as the ideal player to add to his midfield, as he searches for a box to box player who can also offer some steel in the centre of the park.

However, the player, who has been tracked by Van Gaal, is now set to sign for Valencia, according to reports emanating from Italy.

He is currently at Benfica, but the 28 year old is now expected to have played his last game for the Portuguese giants today.

Perez moved to Lisbon in 2011, joining from Estudiantes in his homeland of Argentina.

He has impressed since moving there, winning the Portuguese player of the year award in 2014.

However, he will not be bringing that impressive form to the Premier League, instead choosing to make the trip to Spain and join the impressive Valencia.
