Man Utd Desperate To Sign Stopper To New Deal As Real Circle – reports

Manchester United are desperate to tie goalkeeper David De Gea to a new contract amid ongoing rumours that Real Madrid are keen on signing him, as reported by the Daily Star.

This comes despite the fact that they have just agreed to capture former Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes on an 18 month deal.

De Gea has been in exceptional form since the start of the season, and has been integral to the Old Trafford club’s revival under Dutch manager Louis van Gaal.

Man Utd sit third in the Premier League after the festive period, and have advanced to the fourth round of the FA Cup.

However, De Gea’s deal runs out at the end of next season, and there are fears that he could choose to return to the Spanish capital and join Real Madrid next summer.

He previously played for city rivals Atletico.

In order to avoid that, Ed Woodward is set to hold talks with De Gea’s agent Jorge Mendes, with hopes of reaching an agreement.

Liverpool To Make Shock Signing Of Man Utd Hero – reports

Liverpool could be about to make one of the most surprising signings of the January transfer window, after it was revealed that they have been offered Nemanja Vidic by Inter Milan, as reported by The Metro.

The Italian giants are keen on capturing Liverpool midfielder Lucas Leiva this month, and are exploring all possible options regarding a transfer.

Vidic has fallen out of favour at Inter after joining them in the summer, and Roberto Mancini, former Manchester City manager, is thought to be particularly keen on getting rid of him.

Reports in Italy are now suggesting that Vidic could be set for a move to Man Utd’s fierce rivals Liverpool.

This would be part of a swap deal to take Lucas to the San Siro this month.

The Serie A side have a lack of funds to complete key transfer deals during the window, and Vidic is expected to be used as a possible make weight in the deal.

Done Deal: Man Utd Agree Deal For Central Defender

Manchester United have agreed to sell defender Michael Keane to Burnley on a permanent basis, as reported by burnleyfootballclub.com.

Keane has spent the first half of the season on loan at the Lancashire club, having joined them on loan on transfer deadline day in September.

He has gone on to make 11 appearances for the Clarets, forming a formidable partnership with Jason Shackell, Burnley’s skipper, in the heart of defence.

Moving permanently ends a long association with Man Utd for Keane.

He started his career with the Manchester side, and made his professional debut for them in 2011.

This came against Aldershot Town in the League Cup.

However, the story of his career has mainly been told in the form of loan spells at lower league sides.

He spent the 2012/13 season on loan at Leicester City, playing 27 times.

Keane also had loan spells at both Derby County and Blackburn Rovers, before linking up with Burnley this season.

Burnley manager Sean Dyche is delighted by the acquisition, and said: “Michael is a good young player and we see a lot of development in him as he’s on a good pathway at the moment and we’re delighted that he has decided to join us.”
