Arsenal Boss Reveals Failure To Land 21-Year-Old World Class Midfielder – reports

Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has revealed the reason behind his side’s failure to capture former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, as reported by the Daily Express.

Pogba departed Man Utd in 2012 having failed to make an impact for the Red Devils, but has gone on to impress since joining Juventus.

This has led to significant questions about why Alex Ferguson allowed him to depart and did not integrate him at first team level, given that he has developed into the player that Man Utd have been missing in midfield for several years.

Pogba was linked with Man Utd and Chelsea for an extended period in the summer, but disappointed the Premier League sides who were hopeful of signing him by agreeing to a new contract with the Italian giants.

Wenger has now revealed, however, that Arsenal tried to sign Pogba several years ago, but could not put together a deal for the player.

He said: “We were interested by Pogba when he was at Manchester.

“We tried to get him, but it was complicated.

“I was surprised to see Manchester let him go. We did not have the right to contact him.”

Chelsea Transfer List Misfit Foursome In Quest For €60M Dynamo – reports

Chelsea have reportedly transfer listed a foursome of the squad’s misfits in an attempt to raise the funds to buy former Manchester United midfielder Paul Pogba, as reported by fichajes.net.

The French international dynamo has established himself as one of the best young players in his position in world football today, as shown by the fact that he won the youth award for his performances at the World Cup in Brazil.

His departure from Old Trafford, which saw him join Juventus, has become something of an issue among fans of the Red Devils.

They would be equally distraught to see him join the Stamford Bridge side, with Jose Mourinho apparently keen to bring him in.

In order to facilitate this switch, which would undoubtedly be very expensive for the Blues, likely to cost €60 million, Mourinho has apparently transfer listed four players.

These are Jon Obi Mikel, Ryan Bertrand, Mohamed Salah and Victor Moses, with the latter possibly able to remain at Stoke, where he is currently on loan.

Revealed: Chelsea Have Bid Rejected For Elite Wonderkid

Juventus have revealed that they rejected a series of bids over the summer from Paul Pogba from several top European sides, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Stamford Bridge club were thought to be particularly keen on the former Manchester United youth prospect, who has gone on to establish himself as a top player since making the move to Serie A.

His quality was evidenced at this summer’s World Cup, where he was voted the competition’s most impressive young star.

There were significant rumours throughout the summer that he would be making a switch back to the Premier League, where he never imposed himself while playing for the Old Trafford side.

It seemed as though the rumours never developed into anything concrete from any of the supposedly interest parties, but Juventus have since confirmed that they rejected a series of bids.

Juventus sporting director Giuseppe Marotta has revealed that they turned down the offers, saying: “Yes, absolutely, some offers arrived from abroad, from top European clubs.

“But we decided not to indulge them.

“We were in a position not to accept and we did with great awareness of the fact that we are talking about two very important components of our squad.”
