Man Utd Star: We Can Be PL Champions

Manchester United star Marouane Fellaini has declared that the Old Trafford side could win the Premier League.

The Red Devils have been on an excellent run recently, winning six games in a row in the Premier League.

Part of that form has come from Fellaini, who has been resurgent under new boss Louis van Gaal.

The £27.5 million signing from Everton has become part of Van Gaal’s plans after recovering from injury.

This represents a significant turnaround for the Belgian international, who looked set to leave Man Utd this summer.

He was bought by former boss David Moyes on transfer deadline day last season but struggled to impress under the Everton manager.

Many Man Utd fans called for his departure, but he has become part of Van Gaal’s first team and put in excellent displays as his side have picked up form.

Now, having proven his critics wrong, Fellaini believes Man Utd can go on to challenge for the title.

“Last season was not good enough for Manchester United,” Fellaini told The Times. “We know that and we are working hard to put that right. In some ways it is too early to talk about the title because we are still building and it is only December, but we are winning matches consistently again and when that happens your belief grows.

“At the very least we have to be in the top four; we must do that. I wanted this challenge.”

Despite Featuring, Man Utd Star Set To Depart In January – reports

Despite having featured in the last two games for Manchester United, Marouane Fellaini is still set to depart from Old Trafford in January, according to fichajes.net.

Fellaini had a telling impact in the game against West Brom on Monday last week, equalising before providing significant trouble to the Baggies defence as the Red Devils managed a 2-2 draw.

Fellaini was also given the task of tracking Cesc Fabregas in the game against Chelsea, his first start since the appointment of Louis van Gaal.

An early season injury disrupted his ability to make an impact under the Dutch manager, but the last two games have suggested that he is likely to stay, contrary to initial suggestions.

However, other sources are suggesting that Man Utd are considering sanctioning his sale, in order to fund the purchase of a defender, something they sorely require.

There are reportedly many clubs interested in signing the Belgian international.

Summer Man Utd Signing: Misfit’s Introduction Was Key Vs West Brom

Manchester United’s summer signing Daley Blind has stated that the introduction of Marouane Fellaini against West Bromwich Albion was key, as reported by the Daily Star.

Fellaini was brought on at half time, having been captured in discussions with Louis van Gaal shortly before the break.

He replaced Spanish midfielder Ander Herrera.

His introduction paid almost immediate dividends, with the Belgian international bringing scores level shortly into the second half.

Fellaini also played a key role after Man Utd went behind again, with the hirsute star occupying West Brom’s defenders time after time.

This allowed Blind to bring the scores level with a long range strike towards the end of the game, giving the Old Trafford club a potentially important point against the Midlands side.

The two goals were firsts for both midfielders for the Red Devils, and Blind was quick to pay tribute to his midfield partner for his impact.

He said:”He came in and scored a fast goal, a great goal I think.

“His goal gave us a lot of trust in the game again and that’s why we created a lot of chances after that also. I thought he played well.”
