Man City Boss See Star’s Contract Issues As Unimportant

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini has revealed that he does not see a problem with Joe Hart’s contract, despite agreeing fresh terms with a series of other key players in the squad, as reported by The Guardian.

The England international goalkeeper was dropped by Pellegrini at the weekend, in favour of summer signing Willy Caballero, and the Manchester club won their clash against Hull City 4-2 away from home.

Hart will, however, be restored to the starting line up for City’s key game with Roma in the Champions League tonight, although the Chilean boss denied there was any issue with his contract, despite the fact that it runs out in two years.

He said: “Me and Joe know what’s happening with that issue.

“I think it’s important we know how to manage it but it’s not the most important thing at this moment.”

The former Birmingham City loanee has established himself as a consistent first team player at the champions since Roberto Mancini’s second season in charge, although he did lose his place for a few games last season, with Costel Pantilimon taking the shirt.

Former Chelsea star Ashley Cole could line up against his old teammate Frank Lampard tonight.

Liverpool Set To Make Sensational Swoop For 27 Year Old England Star – reports

Liverpool are reportedly on the cusp of making a surprise move for Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart, as a result of the England star’s difficult contract situation with his current club, as reposted by The Metro.

The Anfield club have emerged as a potential future club for the shot stopper extraordinaire, who has seen Man City not discuss a new contract with him, despite expectations.

Hart has only two years left on his contract with the Blues, and the player would have been very likely to have expected some sort of negotiation by this point in his deal.

The player has also expressed that he is somewhat worried about the lack of movement.

Hart said: “Anything about a new contract is news to me.

“I’ve heard nothing. I’ve got a year, nearly two years, left on my deal. That is all I am aware of.”

Liverpool are now seen to be seeing him as a possible option to replace Simon Mignolet.

The Belgian international has struggled thus far this season, responsible for two goals against West Ham, and the Reds would see Hart as a better option than former Barcelona star Victor Valdes, who they have also targeted.
