Spurs Bid For Arsenal Targeted Wonderkid Could Be Rejected

Tottenham Hotspur’s intended bid for Paris Saint Germain wonderkid Adrien Rabiot could be blocked by the French side’s manager Laurent Blanc, according to the Daily Mirror.

Arsenal were thought to be keen on signing Rabiot prior to the French youngster agreeing to a new contract with PSG ahead of the January transfer window.

As a result, he is not set to depart PSG on a permanent basis any time soon, but could have been loaned out during the winter window.

Spurs were one of the sides thought to be keen on capturing the talented young midfielder on a temporary basis, as they look to add more incisiveness to the middle of the park.

However, Blanc denied this possibility.

“I’m not ready to let him go,” said the PSG boss.

“I’ve already said that he was a lad I want to keep hold of.”

Mauricio Pochettino has led Spurs to a charge up the table in recent weeks, and good form sees them sat in fifth place, just behind Southampton.

As a result, they now have hopes of challenging for the Champions League places in the second half of the season.
