World Class Star’s £55m Man Utd Return On – Reports

Cristiano Ronaldo’s return to Manchester United looks even closer after a falling out between his agent Jorge Mendes and Ronaldo’s current club Real Madrid, as reported by the Daily Express.

Ronaldo has been interesting Man Utd in recent seasons, and the Balon D’or winner seemed perturbed by Angel Di Maria’s departure from the Santiago Bernabeu earlier this summer.

Mendes came under criticism from Real hierarchy after allowing another of his clients, Di Maria, to publish a letter criticising the upper echelons of the Spanish giants after he secured his move to the Old Trafford club.

With another of Mendes’s clients, Radamel Falcao, also moving to the Manchester side this summer, there is increased belief that Ronaldo can be tempted into a move back to the club where he made his name.

Reports in Spain even suggest that Mendes is going to convince Ronaldo to move back to Old Trafford, and Man Utd have put aside £55 million for the purpose of signing him.

Midfield Maestro Pleased He Rejected Man Utd & Chelsea Overtures

World Cup winner Toni Kroos has expressed his happiness that he has moved to Real Madrid this summer, rather than taking up an offer from either Manchester United or Chelsea, as reported by the Daily Star.

Kroos’s contract with Bayern Munich was set to expire at the end of the coming season, and there were suggestions that he could move to either Man Utd or Chelsea as a result. David Moyes has gone as far as to confirm that Man Utd had lined up a move for him this summer before his untimely dismissal as boss at Old Trafford.

The German international, however, decided to make a £20 million move to the Santiago Bernabeu, joining the winners of last season’s Champions League.

He said: “I made the right decision and I’m 100 percent satisfied at Real.

“My departure from Bayern had nothing to do with Pep [Guardiola]. We see football the same way. He refined my style of play and developed my skills.

“We’re talking about the two biggest footballing institutions in the world, although Real have a higher profile internationally than Bayern.

“It’s amazing to think that 20,000 people came to see me unveiled when I had yet to play so much as a second. That would be unthinkable in Germany. Spanish fans get more into football and are more emotional about it.”

Kroos, 24, has emerged as one of the top midfield playmakers in Europe today, and fans of both Chelsea and Man Utd will almost certainly be disappointed to have missed out on the former Bayern star.

Spanish Giants End Hopes Of Quick Man Utd Move For Wing Wizard

Barcelona have expressed an interest in Fiorentina’s Colombian international Juan Cuadrado, ending hopes from Manchester United that they would receive a quick response to their £28 million bid for the winger, as reported by the Daily Express.

The newspaper suggests that the Old Trafford club was expecting a quick reply to their move, but interest from the Catalan giants has caused Fiorentina to consider their decision for longer.

The Italian club are now hopeful of putting together an auction for the wide player, and believe they could now cause a price rise to more than £30 million.

Barcelona have been fans of Cuadrado for a long time, and he was one of the standout players from the World Cup, with his pace, power and speed aiding in his displays.

He is also on minimal wages in Italy, only half a million pounds annually, which would rise significantly if he moved to a bigger club.

Cuadrado is expected to return from his post World Cup holiday shortly, which will make a decision even more likely in the near future.

Louis van Gaal is a known admirer, given his performances at the World Cup and versatility on the pitch.

Should he sign, Cuadrado would become Man Utd’s third signing of the summer.
