Everton To Battle Liverpool For 24-Year-Old Trickster – reports

Liverpool and Everton have been handed a boost in their chase for Marseille winger Andre Ayew, as reported by the Daily Mirror.

The Ghanaian forward has opened up a move to the Premier League by turning down further contract offers from the French giants, giving both Merseyside clubs an indication that he would be interested in a switch.

The two sides are joined by a series of other English clubs in chasing Ayew, with Swansea City, Hull City and West Ham United all believed to be interested in bringing the talented forward in.

Ayew is now set on running down his contract with Marcelo Bielsa’s side.

The player is demanding a deal worth £50,000 a week, which the club are refusing to meet, as it would break their wage structure.

Ayew is well aware that a move to the Premier League could net him the money he is hoping for, and is therefore waiting for a switch to materialise.

Liverpool Boss Speaks Of Respect For “Incredible” Everton Manager

Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed that he holds a big admiration for former Everton and Manchester United boss David Moyes, as reported by the Daily Star.

Moyes has become something of a figure of fun to fans after his spell in charge of the Old Trafford club, which saw the Red Devils drop to seventh in the Premier League last season.

Regular disappointments were served up to fans of Man Utd last season, with a 3-0 loss against Liverpool at Old Trafford a particular low-light for Moyes’s side.

He saw his contract terminated before the end of the season, having failed to lead Man Utd to a European place.

However, prior to his time with Man Utd, Moyes had had an extended spell in charge of Everton, which impressed many.

10 years of relatively sustained success with the Toffees saw Moyes given the big job, but Rodgers respects him for his time at his Merseyside rivals.

He said: “There are many people and managers I have a big admiration for.

“I look at David Moyes and the incredible job he did at Everton although he didn’t win a trophy.

“People might look at me in the next number of years and if I win some trophies they might say that’s a success, but I believe my success was the 15 years before that, leading up to that, my success and my journey as a manager and working with young players.

“That’s what I deem as my success.”

Man Utd Line Up €75M Swoop For PL Rival Duo – reports

Manchester United have reportedly lined up a €75 million January swoop for Everton stars Ross Barkley and Seamus Coleman, as reported by fichajes.net.

The Spanish outlet are suggesting that the Old Trafford club are prepping a significant bid in January to take two of Everton’s key players.

Given the fact that both players are tied down for the long term to the Goodison Park club, Man Utd have reportedly decided that it will take a significant sum to convince the Toffees to part with two of their more highly rated players.

With that in mind, Louis van Gaal is thought to have put aside €75 million for their acquisition.

It remains to be seen if Everton would be willing to sell the duo, but it would be a significant sum for the club to turn down, should Man Utd make the bid.

Coleman is also believed to be a boyhood Man Utd fan, which might effect any interest.
