£10.5m Chelsea Ace: We Want To Win Every Trophy

Chelsea striker Loic Remy has revealed that the Stamford Bridge club’s fringe players are keen to impress and play a key role as the Blues bid to win an unprecedented quadruple, as reported by the Daily Star.

The west London club progressed in another competition at the weekend, beating Watford to enter the fourth round of the FA Cup with ease.

The 3-0 victory was earned in the second half, with Remy scoring the second goal that went a long way to ensure progression.

However, it was the introduction of the likes of Willian and Diego Costa that turned the tie, as Watford had proven very difficult to break down in the first half.

As a result, it might be difficult to justify the inclusion of the likes of Remy in the first team in the league due to their display in the cup game, given that they couldn’t break down a Championship side.

Remy is happy to play a role in reserve, however, and said: “It will be hard but we want to win every competition.

“That’s where the mentality and quality of the squad can make the difference.

“We just try to be a strong squad because a lot of things can happen in the season.

“Every time we have an opportunity to play, like some of us did against Watford, we have to show the manager he can count on us.

“Individually we have to be ready and fit because you never know what is going to happen.”

Arsenal And Man Utd Given Hands Off Warning Over £37m World Cup Winner

Arsenal and Manchester United have both been served a hands off warning over German international Julian Draxler by his current club, as reported by the Daily Star.

The talented forward has been a target for a series of Premier League sides, with Arsenal linked most heavily with a move for him in the recent past, but Schalke have warned those interested that there is no chance he will depart this month.

The 21 year old is considered to be one of the more highly rated young talents in world football.

As a result, it is not only Arsenal and Man Utd who have been keeping an eye on him, but also the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

While Schalke might ultimately be powerless to keep hold of Draxler, who has a £37 million buy out clause written into his current contract, Clemens Tonnies is adamant that he will not leave during January.

“We have absolutely no thoughts about him leaving on short notice,” he told Sport Bild.”Schalke is the place where he can develop best and I told him that in person.

“My opinion is also, that Julian has developed greatly, especially regarding his personality.

“He had a setback with his injury and, as with every big player at a young age, he had a weaker period. But Julian will have a fantastic career.”

€250m Messi Wants Chelsea Switch – reports

Barcelona forward Lionel Messi prefers a future at Chelsea rather than at his current club, according to Spanish journalist Jordi Baste, reported on radio station RAC1.

The radio station has also claimed that Chelsea are willing to pay a staggering €250 million to bring him to the Premier League.

Messi is reportedly unhappy at the Nou Camp, having seen his playing time cut under Luis Enrique.

The club is also not acting correctly off the pitch, arguably, and yesterday the director of football resigned from his position, followed by assistant director of football Carlos Puyol, a former teammate of Messi’s, also leaving the club.

Roman Abramovich reportedly set a deadline of this year to bring Messi to Stamford Bridge, and it seems like the player himself is keen on a switch.

It now remains to be seen whether the two sides can thrash out a deal, although, undoubtedly, Barca will not want to be seen as weak in losing one of their key players.
