Arsenal And Man Utd Given Hands Off Warning Over £37m World Cup Winner

Arsenal and Manchester United have both been served a hands off warning over German international Julian Draxler by his current club, as reported by the Daily Star.

The talented forward has been a target for a series of Premier League sides, with Arsenal linked most heavily with a move for him in the recent past, but Schalke have warned those interested that there is no chance he will depart this month.

The 21 year old is considered to be one of the more highly rated young talents in world football.

As a result, it is not only Arsenal and Man Utd who have been keeping an eye on him, but also the likes of Manchester City, Chelsea, Real Madrid and Barcelona.

While Schalke might ultimately be powerless to keep hold of Draxler, who has a £37 million buy out clause written into his current contract, Clemens Tonnies is adamant that he will not leave during January.

“We have absolutely no thoughts about him leaving on short notice,” he told Sport Bild.”Schalke is the place where he can develop best and I told him that in person.

“My opinion is also, that Julian has developed greatly, especially regarding his personality.

“He had a setback with his injury and, as with every big player at a young age, he had a weaker period. But Julian will have a fantastic career.”
