Arsenal Star Delighted To Finally Play With ‘Special’ Teammate

Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has revealed that he was delighted to finally play alongside his teammate Alexis Sanchez in the FA Cup clash with Hull City on Sunday.

The Gunners romped to a 2-0 victory against Steve Bruce’s beleaguered Hull side in a repeat of last year’s final.

Walcott made his return from a long spell on the sidelines, exactly 365 days after his last game for the north London side, which was in the same competition against local rivals Tottenham Hotspur.

During that time, he missed out on a World Cup with England and an FA Cup final win with his club side.

However, he was immediately keen to heap praise on Sanchez, who has scored 16 goals since arriving at Arsenal from Barcelona in the summer.

Walcott told the press: “Alexis is a special player, so it’s nice to get on the pitch with him finally.”

Sanchez had a key role in the win on Sunday, setting up Per Mertesacker’s opening goal from a corner kick, before bagging himself to secure the win for Arsenal.
