Liverpool Plot Shock Move For Former Star – reports

Liverpool are set to make a shocking move for former star Fernando Torres in the January transfer window.

The Reds capitulated to a 3-0 loss against Manchester United on Sunday, despite enjoying the better opportunities against the Old Trafford club.

This has led to a belief that Brendan Rodgers’ side lack a genuine goalscorer, having lost Luis Suarez in the summer and seen Daniel Sturridge regularly sidelined with injury since the campaign began.

Rodgers is expected to go back into the market for another striker in January, after Mario Balotelli failed to settle following his £16 million move from AC Milan.

He has not scored a goal in the Premier League yet.

Now, according to the Daily StarLiverpool are set to make a move for former star Torres.

The Spain international has struggled for opportunities while on loan at AC Milan.

He is set to return to Chelsea in January, and Liverpool could now be the side to take him on loan for the remainder of the campaign.

Torres left Liverpool for £50 million when he joined the Blues.
