Confirmed: Integral Leeds Utd Star Not Injured

Leeds United defender Stephen Warnock has taken to Twitter to reveal that despite leaving the pitch early in today’s game, he has not pulled his hamstring, and might not even be injured.

Initial fears were that Warnock, who has played a key role for Leeds since Neil Redfearn took permanent charge of the first team, would be out injured for an extensive period of time.

There were reports that the player had pulled his hamstring, which is a serious injury and would likely have excluded him from action for the entire Christmas period.

This would have come as a blow to Leeds, who lost 1-0 to Fulham today, marooning them in 19th in the table, only a small gap above the relegation zone.

Warnock is one of few experienced heads in the side, and the sort of player that Redfearn would undoubtedly call upon to arrest the slump that the Whites have been on.
