Liverpool have been dealt a huge blow in their chase of Mexico star Guillermo Ochoa, as reported by the Daily Express.
Ochoa was incredibly impressive during the World Cup in Brazil, and several Premier League sides were linked with his signing.
However, the Mexican star ultimately moved to Malaga in the summer.
Liverpool were somewhat boosted in their chase for the player, however, as he has failed to appear once for the Spanish side, with boss Javi Garcia preferring to play Carlos Kameni.
As a result, Ochoa was keen to move on in the January transfer, and the likes of Arsenal and Liverpool were both linked with another move.
Reports in Spain now suggest that Ochoa has instead agreed to make a £6 million switch to Turkish club Trabzonspor, putting a dampener on their hopes of signing him.
Liverpool have been regularly linked to Victor Valdes, but he now seems set for a move to Manchester United after going on trial with them.
