Man Utd Panic As Key Player Stalls Contract Talks – reports

Manchester United are becoming increasingly worried about David de Gea’s future with the Old Trafford club, with the player stalling over signing a new contract, as reported by the Daily Express.

De Gea has been one of few consistently impressive players since the appointment of Louis van Gaal at the start of the season.

As a result, De Gea has attracted interest, with Spanish giants Real Madrid hopeful of bringing him back to his homeland.

De Gea was, in fact, signed by Man Utd from Real’s city rivals Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2011 for a staggering £17.8 million, and he could be tempted to return to the city where he made his name.

Man Utd now find themselves having to push for a new deal in the immediate future, or they could lose De Gea on a free at the end of next season.

Real will almost certainly be watching the situation with joy, having hoped to replace Iker Casillas with his international compatriot.
