Tottenham Hotspur are set to look to sell former Arsenal man Emmanuel Adebayor in January, as reported by the Daily Mirror.
The Togolese striker has struggled since the start of the new campaign, and fans of the White Hart Lane club have taken particular issue with recent comments about their support from the striker.
Mauricio Pochettino is very keen to alter his striking options in January, having seen his side struggle in front of goal, and Adebayor is set to be the primary casualty of the intended shake up.
It might be difficult for Spurs to get rid of Adebayor, with the player’s extended contract a possible issue in attracting another club.
The 30 year old has another 18 months to run on a deal which nets him a massive £170,000 a week, which would almost certainly put off potential suitors.
However, Spurs are now open to offers for the player, with the hope of selling him and bringing in Southampton striker Jay Rodriguez.
