Arsenal Seek To Pip PL Rivals To 9 Goals in 10 £35m Ace – reports

Arsenal are hoping to beat Premier League rivals Chelsea and Manchester United to the signature of Benfica’s goalscoring ace Anderson Talisca, as reported by the Daily Star.

The Gunners sent scouts to watch the Brazilian striker on Tuesday night last week, and were rewarded as they saw the 20 year old score a winner in the Champions League against Monaco.

Talisca has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in European football after a stunning return since signing for the Portuguese giants in the summer.

He has bagged nine goals in only 10 games for Benfica.

This has prompted interest from the likes of Chelsea and Man Utd, with Blues boss Jose Mourinho hinting that the west London club had an interest in the player several months ago.

Sources close to the player now suggest, however, that Arsenal are leading the chase for his signature, with enquiries made.

It could cost them a huge fee to capture him, with Benfica inserting a £35 million release clause into his contract.
