PL Rivals Look To Snatch Chelsea And Arsenal Target – reports

Manchester City have entered the battle to sign Sami Khedira from Real Madrid, putting them in direct competition with both Arsenal and Chelsea, as reported by fichajes.net.

The two London clubs have been tracking the World Cup winner since the summer, with both hopeful of securing his signature during the transfer window.

This did not occur, however, with Khedira instead looking to move at the end of his contract, in order to receive a higher wage packet.

However, it recently seemed as though Arsenal had won the battle and were willing to pay a fee to bring him in in January.

Despite this, the news has now emerged that Manuel Pellegrini is tracking Khedira heading into January, and he could yet move to the Etihad Stadium.

Both Arsenal and City have an advantage on their other rivals for Khedira’s signature, with the likes of Fiorentina and Bayern Munich keen to wait until the summer to sign him on a free transfer.
