£15M Wonderkid To Spurn Arsenal And Man Utd Interest

West Bromwich Albion’s wonderkid Saido Berahino is set to turn down a move to the likes of Manchester United and Arsenal in favour of staying with the Baggies, as reported by the Daily Star.

This is according to the club’s manager, Alan Irvine, who believes that the player wants to stay with the Hawthorns club.

Berahino burst onto the scene early last season, establishing himself as one to watch with a shock goal against Man Utd at Old Trafford for West Brom.

He has gone on to establish himself as a hot prospect in the year since, and has begun the new season in sensational form for both club and the country’s Under 21 side.

Berahino impressed against Man Utd again on Monday night, scoring to send West Brom into the lead, although Man Utd eventually equalised through Daley Blind.

The 21 year old striker has previously been linked to the likes of Man Utd and Arsenal, but Irvine, who values him at £15 million, believes he will stay in the Midlands.

Irvine said: “I think Saido has the maturity to realise if he keeps doing what he does he will make progress here and all sorts of things will open up at international and club level.

“If he keeps doing this, he will become a top striker and anything can happen.”
