Manchester United are targeting FC Porto defender Bruno Martins Indi, as reported by Sport Witness.
This has become evident over recent weeks, with the Old Trafford club repeatedly sending scouts to watch the Dutch defender play for the Portuguese giants.
While the scouts could have been sent to watch any player play for Porto, it has become increasingly obvious that Martins Indi is the man they are most interested in.
Given the dearth of quality in the Portuguese league below the largest clubs, the clash with Sporting Lisbon would have been an ideal opportunity to scout players at their most challenged.
However, Martins Indi was not set to feature in the clash, and therefore the scouts were conspicuous by their absence.
With Martins Indi back in the side on Tuesday night, Man Utd sent scouts to watch Porto again, making it obvious that they are tracking him.
A move for the Dutch defender would make sense, with Louis van Gaal having previously worked with him, and Man Utd requiring defensive additions imminently, given their troubles with the back line since the start of the season.
