Liverpool’s £25 million summer signing Adam Lallana is incredibly excited for the fixture against Real Madrid at the Santiago Bernabeu in the Champions League, with the Reds new boy having seen his side draw them in the group stage of the competition.
Lallana, who joined the Merseyside club from Southampton earlier this summer, featured against Ludogorets in the opening game of Liverpool’s European campaign on Tuesday, but it is games like the one against Real that truly whet his appetite, as reported by the Daily Star.
Their clash against the winners of last year’s competition is set to take place in early November, and Lallana is looking forward to travelling there to take part against one of Europe’s most storied sides.
“We feel confident we can get results.”
Real won the Champions League last season, but have struggled so far in the new campaign, with many fans questioning Carlo Ancelotti’s suitability for the role. They did, however, managed a huge win against Basel in their game on Tuesday.
