Arsenal’s 23 year old star Aaron Ramsey, who has established himself as one of the best performing central midfielders in the Premier League after a sensational 12 months of football, has said that he can continue to grow as a player given more time, as reported by the Daily Star.
Ramsey also said that he has matured a significant amount in recent seasons, having moved to the north London club as a 17 year old from boyhood side Cardiff City.
The still young star has finally reached his potential for Arsenal, and was a huge driving force behind their successes of last season, when they ended a significant silverware drought to capture the FA Cup.
Ramsey himself scored a key goal in the final for that competition, showing his importance to the side and how he can be an effective influence on the team in important situations.
He has started the season off in similarly good form, and said: “I made my debut when I was 16 so I’ve been playing for a number of years and been learning my trade if you like.
“Now I feel like I am as mature as I can be. I’ve got a lot more responsibility and I’ve become used to that and it feels good. I just want to improve on last season and try to become the best player I can possibly be.
“It was nice [to score the winner in the FA Cup final] but hopefully I can have more than that – hopefully it’s not the only thing I achieve.
“I’m confident I can improve and have many more of those wonderful moments. I’m really excited with the way things are developing and about what the future holds.”
