Liverpool Hero Set For Stunning Real Madrid Move – reports

Having been courted by the Spanish giants for several years, former Liverpool manager Rafa Benitez is finally set to move to Real Madrid next summer, as reported by Football Italia.

Sport Mediaset, a Spanish outlet, are suggesting that the Spanish manager will leave Napoli next summer to join a club that he has repeatedly received offers from over the years, but turned down because of a perception that the time was not right.

Napoli are yet to offer the Champions League winning boss a new deal at the club, and this has caused him to finally give into temptation and agree a move to the Santiago Bernabeu.

Real fans have begun to call for the club’s hierarchy to sack incumbent manager Carlo Ancelotti, despite the fact that the club secured the Champions League last season.

The club struggled to a third place finish in La Liga, and have started the new campaign in poor form.

Real are now looking to make it third time lucky with regards to Benitez, having previously offered him the job twice.

Benitez is still regarded as a hero at Anfield, having led the club to the Champions League trophy in 2005. He departed in acrimonious circumstances during the disliked regime of George Gillette and Tom Hicks.
