Daniel Sturridge looks like he could be set for a faster than expected return for Liverpool, after being pictured taking part in a light training session for the Merseyside club, as reported by the Daily Mail.
The Liverpool hot shot was injured during England’s recent international break, having suffered a knock during a training session shortly after the friendly with Norway.
While Brendan Rodgers was not happy with the way that England treated him over the break, he will surely be delighted to see a key player back in training ahead of schedule, something that will come as a boost with his side stuttering in the league.
Sturridge missed the club’s Champions League clash with Ludogorets last night, which was only won with a last minute penalty from Steven Gerrard in injury time. Mario Balotelli also scored his first goal for the club to put them into the lead, but their performance was below the high standards they have set themselves.
