Arsenal Set To Make Move For 33-Year-Old World Cup Winner In January – reports

Arsenal are set to make a January move for Real Madrid’s world class goalkeeper Iker Casillas, as reported by The Metro.

Reports in the French football magazine Le 10 Sport are suggesting that the Gunners could make a surprise move for the captain of the Spanish national side.

Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with a move for the player in recent months, especially with Casillas no longer considered a guaranteed started at the Santiago Bernabeu.

Despite having lost his place in recent years, however, he has begun most of Madrid’s games this season. The club do, however, have talented backup in the form of Keylor Navas, and could be tempted to sanction a move for the right price.

The French magazine thinks that this is the case, and the goalkeeper could therefore be on the way to Arsenal, who are thought to be leading the chase for him.

French side AS Monaco are also monitoring the 33 year old’s situation, but Arsenal remain favourites.
