Man Utd And Liverpool Target 2 Time Champions League Winner – reports

Manchester United and Liverpool are both lining up a move for two times Champions League winner Dani Alves, as reported by the Daily Express.

Alves has fallen down the pecking order somewhat at Barcelona after the acquisition of Douglas, who joined the club from Sao Paulo for £4.5 million, and with his contract set to expire at the end of the coming season, the two clubs are reportedly keen on bringing him to the Premier League.

The Brazilian international has also seen his place come under threat from La Masia graduate Martin Montoya, with little guarantee that Luis Enrique is interested in extending his deal any further.

This has alerted both Liverpool and Man Utd to his availability, and due to the rules on the continent regarding free transfers, both clubs will be able to negotiate terms with him for a Bosman move from January onwards.

Paris Saint Germain and Inter Milan are also thought to be interested in the star.
