There has been a huge drop in the odds for Carlos Queiroz to become the new Leeds United manager today across the entire market, as reported by Oddschecker.
@Oddschecker: Carlos Queiroz is now 3/1 to be next Leeds manager, having been 33/1 this morning! #LUFC
While this does not mean he will be getting the job, or anything of the sort, a run of betting of this nature tends to suggest that some information out there implies that there is a chance Queiroz could end up with the role.
The former Manchester United assistant seems like an ideal appointment for Massimo Cellino, on paper. He has a significant pedigree, having also managed Real Madrid in the past, but is most definitely a coach in the style that Cellino prefers to appoint.
His influence over youth football, somewhere Cellino tends to look, can be seen in the Q Report, which he authored in 1998, something which will almost definitely appeal to Cellino.
Honours that he has picked up in his career include the Supercopa de Espana in 2003 with Real and the Taca de Portugal with Sporting Lisbon.
He led Iran to an impressive display at this summer’s World Cup, showing his ability to get the best out of players and coach them to their maximum.
Carless Queerass is a lesser coach than the Hock and is ex-scumchester, this would be an unmitigated disaster.
Ropey wyla what aload of crap your talking go crawl back into your cave and think of something positive to say
