Breaking: Leeds Utd Starlet Struck By Injury

Leeds United’s young starlet Zan Benedicic, who joined the club from AC Milan on loan during the summer, was forced to withdraw from the club’s Under 21 clash with Queens Park Rangers earlier today, as reported by BBC Radio Leeds.

The 18 year old attacking midfielder suffered a head injury after the side had already made three substitutions, and had to leave the pitch, leaving Leeds with only ten men for the remainder of the game.

Having been involved with match day squads during the opening weeks of the new season, Benedicic has been less involved since the sacking of Dave Hockaday, although he did make his league debut under caretaker boss Neil Redfearn as a substitute against Bolton Wanderers, a game which Leeds won 1-0.

The Milan loanee made his debut for Leeds against Accrington Stanley in the League Cup, a game which the club won 2-1.

Leeds face Reading in the league on Wednesday, and it remains to be seen if Benedicic will be available for selection.

Dynamic Attacking Midfielder Declares Interest In Leeds Move From Italian Giants

CALCIO

Zan Benedicic, a dynamic attacking midfielder who plays for AC Milan, has suggested heavily that he is on the cusp of a transfer to Leeds United, as reported by La Bottega del Calciofilo.

The midfielder has been linked with a move to Leeds repeatedly in recent weeks, but there were suggestions that he was set to stay with the Italian giants in lieu of a move to West Yorkshire. Leeds need significant additions this summer, especially after the collapse of their move for AS Roma’s Federico Viviani.

An interview with the player has implied that he is very close to a transfer to the Yorkshire giants, with his goal being to play significant first team football upon arrival at Elland Road.

Benedicic said: “We are waiting for all of the documents and the last confirmations, then I will sign.

“I am at one step away from becoming a Leeds player.

“[My goal is] to achieve a place in the starting eleven.”

Leeds struggled to a 2-2 draw with Chesterfield at the weekend, playing poorly and only scoring their goals from the penalty spot, two of very few shots they had on target in the match. Rodolph Austin scored both.
