21-Year-Old Chelsea Starlet In Talks To Depart

Chelsea starlet Thorgen Hazard is in talks to leave the Blues on a permanent basis.

The young Belgian star discussed the possibility of moving on from the Stamford Bridge club permanently only a few days ago, with the suggestion that he could join Borussia Monchengladbach.

21 year old Hazard, who followed his older brother Eden to London, has been on loan with them since the start of the season.

Unlike his older brother, however, he has struggled to get any opportunities with Chelsea.

In fact, he has spent the majority of his time with the Premier League side out on loan, including at Belgian club Zulte Waregem last season.

He has put in impressive displays for the German side, especially in the Europa League, where he has prospered.

Max Eberl, the Bundesliga side’s sporting director, has now confirmed that his side are looking to bring Hazard in on a permanent basis.

He said: “I hope that we sign the player on a permanent deal. We are constantly talking to Chelsea.”

21-Year-Old Hazard Could Leave Chelsea

Chelsea starlet Thorgen Hazard is considering a permanent move away from Chelsea in the coming transfer windows, having made a significant impact since moving on loan to Borussia Monchengladbach.

Hazard moved to Chelsea from Lens at the same time as his elder brother, Eden, did from Lille, with Eden costing the Blues £32 million.

Having spent the two seasons on loan with Belgian side Zulte Waregem, he then agreed to join Monchengladbach for the season in the summer transfer window.

While Eden has had a significant impact at Stamford Bridge, establishing himself as comfortably one of the more talented players in the division, Thorgen is yet to make a single appearance for the Stamford Bridge club’s first team.

Despite this, Thorgen has made an impact elsewhere.

He was named as Player of the Year in Belgium last campaign, and scored his first goal for Monchengladbach in his side’s 3-2 win against Hertha Berlin.

The Bundesliga side are keen on a permanent move, and Thorgen is refusing to rule it out.

He said: “It’s an option to stay at Gladbach longer. But it’s just too early to talk about it now.

“The decision will be made towards the end of the season. I feel great here.”
