Elegant Arsenal Defender Available For Chelsea Clash While 8 Others Miss Out

Arsenal have Nacho Monreal available for action again ahead of Sunday’s visit to Chelsea in the Premier League, as reported by the Daily Express.

However, elsewhere eight players are suffering from various injuries, meaning that Arsenal’s injury worries continue.

Despite reconstructing his physio team this summer, Arsene Wenger has seen key players pick up a series of knocks since the start of the new campaign.

Aaron Ramsey, who has developed into a sensational talent over the last year, is absent with a hamstring injury picked up in the north London derby with Spurs.

Mikel Arteta, who was appointed club captain in the summer, is also suffering from a calf problem and will not play.

Serge Gnabry and Theo Walcott are both still suffering from knee injuries, but are likely to return after the international break.

Striker Yaya Sanogo is also unavailable, but is expected to be back soon.

Meanwhile, full back Mathieu Debuchy and Olivier Giroud remain absent, and will do so for an extended period.

Arsenal Squad Destroyed By Injury Ahead Of Dortmund Clash

Arsenal’s injury crisis has got even worse ahead of their clash with Borussia Dortmund in the Champions League, as Nacho Monreal and Mathieu Debuchy have both been ruled out of the important tie against the Bundesliga giants, as reported by the Daily Express.

Debuchy, who has impressed since moving to Arsenal from Newcastle United this summer, has been ruled out for a significant period of time after suffering ankle ligament damage during the north London club’s clash against Manchester City at the weekend. The Gunners went on to draw that game 2-2, impressing against the Premier League champions.

Nacho Monreal has also not travelled to Germany, putting Arsenal’s defence at a maximum stretch.

The situation could be worsened, with Calum Chambers having missed training on Monday morning. Chambers is expected to fill in at full back.

Should he not be fit, Arsene Wenger will be forced to turn to youngster Hector Bellerin, who recently broke the speed record at the club.
