£60m World Class Man Utd Target Keen To Play At Liverpool

Manchester United hero Cristiano Ronaldo is exceptionally excited to play at Anfield in this season’s Champions League, as reported by the Daily Express.

They were told this by Liverpool hero Ian Rush, who has said that the player cannot wait to test himself at the famous stadium again.

Furthermore, former Spurs star Gareth Bale is also excited about the possibility of returning to England and taking part in a game at the home of Liverpool.

It will be the first time Bale has faced a Premier League side since his big money move to Madrid in 2013.

The Reds have been drawn in a group with the winners of last season’s Champions League, and will have to perform well if they hope to overcome them.

Rush said: “Even the away teams look forward to playing at Anfield.

“You’ve got Ronaldo, Gareth Bale, they are looking forward to it. That’s why it is so special.”

Ronaldo himself has spoken about his excitement, with his Man Utd connections also discussed in the process.

He said: “If I was going back to Old Trafford, the reception from the fans would be amazing for me.

“Going to Liverpool will be very different – wow!

“Of course I know that it’s a very difficult place to go, although I won there a few times with United. They came very close last year to winning the Premier League so we know it’s going to be a very tough game at Anfield.

“For me, knowing it’s going to be the first time, I’m looking forward to it. I know Anfield. But we are Real Madrid.”

The Champions League kicked off last night, with both Arsenal and Liverpool involved.

Ronaldo has been frequently linked with a move back to Man Utd in recent weeks, with a fee of £60 million mooted for the transfer.

Man Utd To Turn To Managerial Great In Quest For £60m Mega Star – reports

Manchester United are going to ask for the help of Alex Ferguson in their quest to bring Cristiano Ronaldo back to Old Trafford, with the hope that his close friendship with the world class forward will allow him to convince the player to return to Manchester, as reported by the Daily Express.

Reports in the Spanish press suggest that Man Utd have money for both Ronaldo’s transfer fee and enough to secure his vast wage demands, but they feel the help of Ferguson would prove vital in convincing the forward that the move to their club would be to his benefit.

Ronaldo has regularly praised Ferguson in recent years, and the player sees him as something of a mentor. He seems to regard his role in his career as key to his development.

He said: “He helped me a lot when I was just 18 in Manchester and I want to say I respect him and thank him so much for everything he did in my career.

Recent links between the player and the club have developed as a result of Ronaldo expressing his desire to return to Man Utd before his career is out.

Ronaldo is expected to cost around £60 million, and would command significant wages.

Ex-Real Chief: £60m Megastar Could Move To Man Utd

Manchester United’s mooted bid for Cristiano Ronaldo has received another boost, with former Real Madrid president Ramon Calderon suggesting that the player has become increasingly dissolusioned with life at the Spanish giants, and that he could move back to the club where he first made his name, as reported by the Daily Mail.

Ronaldo has been linked heavily with a move back to Old Trafford in recent days, having suggested that he would like a return before his career is out, and it now seems as though his relationship with the Real hierarchy is at an all time low.

The club have sold key players, including Ronaldo’s good friend Angel Di Maria, and the president who brought the Portuguese international to the club has said that the player is possibly looking for a route out.

He said: “My impression is he is fed up with the policy of the current president.

“When he came with Robben, he thought he would be a good colleague for him in the team.

“Higuain was sold and he didn’t like that. Last year he thought it was a mistake to let Ozil leave and the last straw was selling Xabi Alonso and Angel di Maria this summer.

“When I signed him in 2009, I remember he said he was grateful to Manchester United.

“He had a marvellous time there, he likes everything. It is a really great club.”

Ronaldo and Real won the Champions League together last season, but have started the new season poorly, losing two of their three league games and losing the Spanish Super Cup.
