Spurs Look To Sell £17m Flop, Not Loan Him Out – reports

Tottenham Hotspur are not thought to be willing to let Brazilian midfielder Paulinho leave the club this month on a temporary basis, unless there is the possibility of a permanent deal as part of any arrangement, as reported by the London Evening Standard.

Mauricio Pochettino, head coach, is thought to want to let the midfielder leave White Hart Lane, but is not particularly keen to just let him leave on loan.

Paulinho cost Spurs £17 million when he joined them in the summer of 2013.

There are a series of clubs thought to be interesting in signing him, including his former side Corinthians.

Cruzeiro, Inter Milan and Schalke are also keen on his signature, but all sides are only willing to sign him on an initial loan until the end of the season.

The fact Paulinho earns £60,000 a week would also be a problem for the two Brazilian sides and Inter.

While chairman Daniel Levy wants to recoup as much of the fee Spurs paid out as possible, but is aware that might be difficult.
