Chelsea Lead Arsenal In 16-Year-Old ‘New Paul Pogba’ Race – reports

Chelsea have stolen a march on Arsenal in the race for St Ettiene midfielder Rayan Souici, who has been dubbed the ‘new Paul Pogba’ by the press in his home country, as reported by the Daily Express.

The Stamford Bridge club have reportedly agreed a deal with the French side to bring him to west London.

They are also confident that they can push through his transfer, with completion set to occur later this week, showing Chelsea’s keenness to get the move wrapped up early into the January transfer window.

Previous reports have suggested that Arsenal were winning the battle for Souici, but their London rivals now seem to be in pole position to sign the Under-16 international.

Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho has reportedly offered Souici a three year deal to join the Blues.

The Portuguese manager is likely to turn to former teammate Kurt Zouma to ensure that Souici settles in well at Stamford Bridge.
