Liverpool Agree Fee For Elegant £16m Arsenal Target – Reports

Mario Balotelli is set for a switch to Anfield after Liverpool agreed terms with AC Milan, as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio.

A purported move for the Italian international has moved rapidly over the last few hours, with Balotelli himself telling the press that today is his last day with the Italian giants, the club he supported as a youngster.

Balotelli has had a spell in the Premier League before, with Manchester City. Although that ultimately ended ignominiously, the striker was responsible for the pass that Sergio Aguero put away to win City their first Premier League crown in 2012 in dramatic circumstances.

He has gone on to impress for Italy since leaving the Etihad, although he struggled for goals last season with Milan. A series of managerial reshuffles caused chaos at the San Siro, however, and Balotelli could not escape it.

Arsenal have been repeatedly linked with Balotelli this summer, but dropped their interest recently.

A fee of around €20 million (£16 million) is expected to be spent by Liverpool on the striker.

Balotelli’s agent Mino Raiola is now discussing personal terms with the Merseyside club.
