Manchester City are reportedly keen to offload former Swansea City star Scott Sinclair, as reported by the Daily Mail.
Sinclair, who has been linked with a move back to his former side after a difficult two years at the Etihad stadium, has also spoken about his difficulties in settling during his time in Manchester.
The former Chelsea youngster suffered a terrible blood clot having made only three starts over the course of his entire first season at City, where he moved in August 2012 after a £6.2 million move.
He then moved on loan to West Brom last season, but failed to impress there. Sinclair made only 11 appearances, with new manager Pepe Mel sidelining him.
Sinclair said: “As a player you’ve got to go through the tough times and the last 18 months have been a very, very tough time for me.
“You know, going on loan and getting injured and also having my blood clot the previous year, so all I can do is look forward, play what’s in front of me and whenever I get the opportunity I’ve got to produce and get the goals whenever I can.”
He has impressed thus far in pre-season, however, starting in both matches. He was also responsible for the second goal in City’s huge 5-1 win against AC Milan in Pittsburgh.
City face Liverpool in Yankee stadium tomorrow night.
Whether its Scott Sinclair, Jack Rodwell or Micah Richards its no good blaming the club because you are not getting many games. If you are good enough and stay injury free then you will be playing its as simple as that. The more that Scott produces performances like he has been the better will be his chances of being retained.
