£10m Arsenal Targeted Defender Unsure Over Future

Ipswich Town defender Tyrone Mings has revealed that he is unsure on how he would react to an offer from one of the huge clubs chasing his signature in the January transfer window.

He has also told the press that he has not, as of yet, had contact from the likes of Arsenal, who are thought to be interested in signing him.

Mings has emerged as one of the hottest prospects in the Championship this season, with his blistering form causing the Gunners to eye him up as a possible January addition.

The north London side are keen to snap him up in a deal thought to be worth around £10 million, showing Mings’ progress over the last season.

However, Mings does not know how he would react to any offer from the Premier League’s big boys.

Although he has admitted that he believes he will still be at Portman Road at the end of the January window.

“I haven’t received any offers,” the 21-year-old told Sky Sports.

“It’s very easy to keep doing what I am doing. The speculation has come from me playing well at Ipswich and getting the opportunity here so that’s all I can continue to do, to play well and keep my attention here.

“I don’t know if an offer would turn my head. We have to wait for that day to come but I doubt it would.

“I am absolutely confident I will be here at the end of January. I don’t see a reason why anything else would happen.”

The former Southampton player would cost around £10 million.

Arsenal Line Up January Bid For Exciting 21 Year Old Star – reports

Arsenal are reportedly tracking Ipswich Town’s young defender Tyrone Mings, as reported by the Daily Express.

A move would complete a stunning rise for the 21 year old, who was playing non-league football only two years ago.

The switch to Arsenal, who dine at the top table of world football, would be a big move for the talented young star.

Mings has been particularly impressive since the start of the new season, featuring primarily in the left back role at Portman Road.

This is a result of the Tractor Boys selling star full back Aaron Cresswell to east London side West Ham United.

Arsenal are not the only London team interested in Mings, with Crystal Palace having made a £3 million bid for him in the summer, which was turned down.

The Gunners have also sent chief scout Steve Rowley to watch him further, and Rowley saw him play against Blackburn Rovers in the Championship yesterday.
